USA, The UK, Australia, UAE, and EU member countries citizens are exempt from visas to Armenia and Georgia, while for Azerbaijan e-visa is needed. Visa support and fees are included in the tour price.
After arrival at Baku International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Baku. Check-in at the hotel, enjoy your time, and be ready to meet your guide and other group members at the hotel lobby to start your evening city tour. We will visit Maiden Tower, Shirvan Shahs’ Palace, Caravanserai, and the main market square, with lots of artisans’ shops, where you can buy souvenirs. We continue the tour to New Baku, where we explore Nizami Street and Fountain Square. We will take a walk through Istiglaliyaat Street, where many grand buildings are located like The UN office building, Museum of Literature, City Hall, President House, etc. Here excellent view opens on the famous Flame Towers with evening lights.Â

This day we will explore the Greater Baku Area and will start from the Petroglyps Museum of Gobustan, where you can observe petroglyphs dating back to the 11th century BC. Weather permitting we will visit Gobustan Reserve holding almost half of the mud volcanoes in the world. The car can be changed depending on weather conditions, to 4WD. After we return to Baku to continue the sightseeing tour. We will visit Martyrs Lane, which provides a beautiful view overlooking Baku’s coastline. We will finish the tour in the iconic Heydar Aliyev center.

This morning we leave Baku for the north of the country. En route, we will make some notable stops. The first one is the Diri Baba Mausoleum in Maraza Village. We continue our trip to Shamakha to visit the famous Juma Mosque being restored in 2013. Here we visit Yeddi Gumbez Mausoleum and a family graveyard. The next stop is the first Albanian church in the Caucasus of the first century AD in Kish Village. After we continue driving to Sheki medieval town surrounded by lush forests and hills. Enjoy your free time in Sheki.

This is the last day of the Azerbaijan tour, we start it with visiting Sheki Bazaar to buy souvenirs or sweets and flavors you like best. We continue our trip to Khan’s Palace located by the medieval fortress’s mighty walls. We visit the handicrafts workshop and the Caravanserai. After we depart Sheki and drive towards the Georgian border. After the border pass, we will drive to Sighnaghi in Georgia’s wine region, where every family makes their wine. Enjoy your free evening in this red-roofed town overlooking the Alazani Valley and Caucasus mountains.Â

After breakfast and refreshing coffee, we start our trip in Sighnaghi so-called City of Love. The city got this name as they made it possible to register a marriage in a day. We will visit Bodbe Convent the burial place of Saint Nino, spreading Christianity in Georgia in the 4th century. We will take a walk in the cobbled streets of Signaghi with red brick houses and red roofs. Evening we’ll drive to Tbilisi, Georgia’s colourful capital for rest and overnight.Â

We will start our way to the West of Georgia. The first stop is Jvari Monastery located on the hilltop overlooking Mtskheta Town and the junction of Kura and Aragvi rivers. Not to be missed is the Stalin House Museum in Gori Town. The museum represents Stali’s life fragments as well as the room he was born, in and the train he used to travel. Uplistsikhe Cave Town is the next stop dating back to the Hellenistic Period. Lots of natural and man-made cave dwellings and a couple of Christian Churches are well-preserved to represent the history of this region. After the Uplistsike visit, we continue to Kutaisi town for rest and overnight.Â

This day is dedicated to one of the natural wonders of Georgia, Prometheus Cave. We will visit the cave of 1.5 km in length and 6 halls. Enjoy the walk in a wonderful underground world, with 14 degrees C the whole year and full of stalactites and stalagmites. We will continue our trip to Zugdidi Town, to visit the Dadiani Royal Palace. Dadiani princes are known for their relative relationships with Napoleon Bonapart. Some relics are preserved and represented in Daidani Palace. Further on we continue to the most picturesque region of Georgia, Svaneti, the land of towers. Mestia town amazes with its stunning nature, snow-covered peaks, and many Svan towers. These towers are both defensive structures and houses characteristic of this part of Georgia. We will visit a traditional Svan Tower to see this unique structure inside.

After rural breakfast and refreshing coffee or herbal tea we take a 4-wheel ride to Zemo Svaneti (upper Svaneti) to Ushguli village perhaps the highest inhabited rural settlement in Europe at 2200 m above sea level. Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and tranquility of this small village surrounded by mountains. If we are lucky enough we will observe the snow-covered peak of Mount Shkara 5163m. We will visit the Ushguli Architectural Complex listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a stroll in the pebbled narrow streets of Ushguly, and enjoy the fresh air. Evening we will take a ride back to Mestia, In The first months of summer the 4-wheel ride takes us through rivers and snowmelt springs.Â

This day we will leave the mountainous region and drive to Martvili Canyon. Here we will have a boat ride in crystal clear waters in the deep canyon where the sun reaches hardly. The leisurely ride goes through high cliffs and small waterfalls, providing an excellent experience. We will stop at a small bridge to observe fish in the crystal clear waters and take some nice photos and selfies. After we will drive to Kutaisi for another calm evening. Evening free time for your own explorations.Â

Check out from the hotel, we will drive back to Tbilisi. First, we will visit the Gelati Academy of the 11th century. Like many monasteries in medieval times that were involved in the education process, Gelati was amongst the first institutions providing higher education. Nowadays it is a functioning monastery with impressive architecture, mosaics, and frescos. After we will visit Merabishvili family winery for lunch and wine tasting. We will continue our trip to Mtskheta to visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the main cathedral of Georgia. After we will drive back to Tbilisi to enjoy the last evening in this bustling city before our Armenia trip.

Check out from the hotel in Tbilisi, after an hour’s drive we reach the Georgia – Armenia border. Here we change the vehicle and guide and pass the border (100 m by foot). After an hour more drive, we reach Akhtala medieval fortress and monastery. Traces of the fortress go back to 8-5 centuries BC, and many clay artifacts found in the fortress territory prove it. We continue to Haghpat village, to our hotel, terrace which provides a stunning view over the plateau on the opposite bank of Debed River Canyon. We will enjoy our lunch here, check-in at the hotel, and take a walk to Hagpat Monastery Complex a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its unique bell tower.

This day we will drive toward Gyumri, the second largest and the cultural city of Armenia. Gyumri is known for its citizens’ humor. En route, we will visit Mikoyan House Museum, the designer of the Russian fighter jet MIG. We will have a city tour in Gyumri, and take a walk in Rustaveli Street, which consists of old 1-2 story traditional houses of local black stone. A huge earthquake destroyed the city but old buildings stood strong without any damage. In the old town, we will visit Aslamazyan’s sister’s gallery. Then we will continue to the 19th century Black Fortress on the hill on the border with Turkey. Free evening in Gyumri to enjoy the local atmosphere in numerous restaurants, cafes, and bars, and take a chance to taste local beer.Â

The 10th-century Marmashen Monastery is our first stop, located on the bank of the Akhuryan River. We continue the trip to Yerevan with a couple of various stops. One of them is Gntunik Supermarket, where you will have time to choose a light snack and see how bread bakes in the clay oven. The next stop is the Armenian Alphabet Monument, here you have a chance to take a photo of your name letterhead. We continue to the medieval Amberd Fortress on the slopes of Mount Aragats at an elevation of 2300 m. above the sea, which provides excellent views of the surroundings. Evening we will reach Yerevan, check in at the hotel, and enjoy free time in the capital city.

Welcome to Yerevan, we will have a city tour, and start from the Mother Armenia statue, where the best view opens over the city. The next stop is Matenadaran Museum, one of the world’s three biggest depositories of ancient manuscripts. We will continue the walking tour in the city center, will visit Cascade Complex, Stare Opera, and Ballet Theatre, and walk through Abovian Street and Northern Avenue to Republic Square. We continue our trip to Echmiadzin town, to the Machanents Cultural Center for lunch and a traditional Armenian sweets participatory master class. After we will continue to Echmaidzin Cathedral and Museum, which holds important relics of Christianity. In the evening we will be back in Yerevan.

This day is a rest day from tours and excursions to have your own experience in the city. Several museums, and art galleries are open for visitors, your guide will advise some according to your interests. Visit a bazaar or Vernissage a flea market open every day, here lots of hand-made souvenirs are being sold. Do not miss Saryan Street, the wine hotspot of Yerevan. There are numerous open-air wine bars and restaurants with excellent local charm. Give a try a local craft beer in the breweries, or check out some nice jazz clubs. Despite being forbidden in Soviet times Armenia was popular with excellent jazz musicians. Check concert halls and opera, preliminary ask your tour agent to get tickets.Â

Moring off to Garni Pagan Temple, which is dedicated to Mihr, the Armenian god of the sun. This Rectangular Columnized Hellenistic structure was built in the 1st century AD. Garni Temple is located on an impressive triangle plateau and surrounded by fortress walls. Here some parts of the Garni fortress are well preserved as well as a Roman-style bath with a mosaic floor. After we will continue to the medieval Geghard Cave Monastery another masterpiece of Armenian architecture and a UNESCO sight. Geghard amazes with its cave churches dug in the single cliff. After Geghard we will drive back to Yerevan for another peaceful evening in Yerevan.

The Southwest of the country awaits us with excellent views of Biblical Mount Ararat. We will visit Khor Virap Monastery and Royal Prison, where Saint Gregory was kept for 13 years for spreading Christianity in Armenia in the third century. We will continue to another jewel of Armenian Spiritual Architecture, Noiravank Monastery amidst the ref cliff valley. We will continue to Yeghegnadzor to check in at the hotel. Dinner will be enjoyed in the local gastro yard, where you will taste Armenian BBQ and local wines. Here it is possible to observe how local fruit vodkas are made. This day we will have a regional overnight in the remote town of Yeghegandzor.Â

This day we will pass a part of the Great Silk Road and see the Selim Caravanserai of the 12th century unchanged like frozen in time. The Vardenyats Pass with the highest point of 2400 m. provides stunning views of the endless mountain chains. After we continue to Noratus cemetery, which holds the biggest amount of cross-stones a unique piece of Armenian architecture. Later we will visit a family cheese farm to taste cheeses aged in wine and brandy. The tour continues along Lake Sevan, one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world 1900 m above the sea. We continue to the Cozy town of Dilijan and visit the Old Dilijan complex, with traditional houses with wooden decorated balconies, and will visit artisan shops, to see their working process. We will stay overnight in Dilijan.Â

Your arrival transfer is arranged based on the flight information provided to us. If your flight schedule changes or is canceled within 48 hours of arrival, provide the info via email. If you don’t inform us, we will not be able to arrange the transfer, and you’ll need to make your way to the starting hotel at your own expense.
