Both Armenia and Georgia practice national currencies, Armenian Dram – AMD and Georgian Lari – GEL accordingly. Only national currencies in both countries are accepted. There are lots of exchange points in capital cities and banks in bigger towns in regions. As the banks are closed by 5 pm, make sure to have local currency during regional tours.Â
Our tours are calculated based on double rooms shared cost. If you are single traveller in a small group ask your travel agent to check if there are solos seeking room share. Â
You can make payment in two parts, prepayment and balance payment. We will ask prepayment to start hotel and other services booking for your tour, while balance you can pay on the spot before the tour start. Please check booking terms and payment options detailed described on our website.Â
Air-tickets are not included in the tour price, so yes please do book your tickets. Our travel agents are aware of best flight connections so feel free to ask any questions on the tickets.
Yes you will have Armenian guide, driver and car in Armenia and the same accordingly for Georgia. On Armenia – Georgia border you will change car, farewell your Armenian staff and meet with Georgian.
Yes, we offer hotel upgrade for extra charge almost for all our tour. Please ask your tour manager to book a comfort package for you, which is based on 4 * central located hotels. Any other hotel preferences are welcome, please discuss it with your tour manager.
EU member countries’, USA, The UK, Australia, New Zealand citizens are exempt from the requirement to obtain a visa to enter the Republic of Armenia. They can stay in the territory of the Republic of Armenia up to 180 days per year. We organise all airport transfers individually, please double check your tour inclusions section and if it includes airport transfers, we will meet you at the airport individually.
In some tours we include lunches and dinners. We order all those meals for groups preliminary, choose local cuisine, and dishes not to be repeated. If you have dietary restrictions, please provide information to your tour manager your special requirements.
Usually our cultural, classical and food, wine tours do not include long walks. Some part of the city tours include walking short 10 – 30 minute walks. Vehicle approaches to the sightseeing, so no long walks. We have walking distance information under each day description in hiking / trekking / active tours. Â
The bridge (neutral zone) is around 200 m walk, but our driver passes Armenia border to the passport control gate of Georgia and carries your luggage. So You will be passing the border in car and only passport control parts you walk carrying your suitcases.
We design tour programs, to drive the longest 250 km. A far as both Armenia and Georgia are mountainous countries and roads are often serpentines the 250 km distance takes 4-5 hours drive. En route we visit different sightseeing, so the drives goes with several stops and it is not overwhelming.
