Most of our Armenia tour packages include airport transfers on arrival and departure, centrally located hotels with daily breakfast, an English-speaking guide, private or small group transport, and entrance fees to monasteries, museums, and historical sites. Selected lunches and dinners are included, often hosted by local families. Wine tastings and cooking classes are part of relevant tours. International flights, travel insurance, and visa fees are not included. This applies to Armenia group tours and private trips alike.

For a first trip to Armenia, a 9 to 10-day cultural tour is the most complete of our Armenia guided tours. It covers Yerevan, Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery, Khor Virap with its view of Mount Ararat, Lake Sevan, and Noravank, at a pace that does not feel rushed. If you have around two weeks, a combined Armenia and Georgia tour lets you see both countries in one trip without planning two separate journeys.

Yes. Armenia has low crime rates, and Yerevan is comfortable to walk around, including in the evening. Locals are generally welcoming to visitors, and solo travelers rarely report problems. Some areas near the border with Azerbaijan are covered by government travel advisories, and we plan our routes with current advice in mind. We recommend checking your own government’s latest guidance before your trip to Armenia.

Our Armenia tours range from about €1,200 per person for a six-day trip to about €2,400 for an 11-day luxury itinerary. The final price depends on the length of the tour, hotel category, season, and whether you join a group or travel privately. Private tours cost more per person than group departures, and longer Armenia vacation packages that add Georgia cost more. Each tour page lists the price and exactly what it includes.

May, June, September, and October are the best months for most travelers. Late spring brings mild temperatures, green valleys, and open trails. Early autumn is harvest season in the wine regions, with cooler weather that makes sightseeing comfortable. July and August are good for high-altitude hiking and Lake Sevan, but afternoons in Yerevan are hot. These months suit most Armenia holidays, whether you focus on culture, wine, or hiking.

Seven days is enough to see the essential sights around Yerevan, Lake Sevan, and the Garni and Geghard area. Nine to ten days allows a comfortable route through both the north and south of the country. Twelve days or more works well if you want to add hiking, more time in wine country, or a second country such as Georgia without rushing. Most Armenia trips we plan run 7 to 12 days.

Citizens of the US, UK, EU, Switzerland, Australia, and several other countries can visit Armenia without a visa for up to 180 days a year. Many other nationalities can apply for an electronic visa online before travel. Requirements change, so check the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website for the rules that apply to your passport before you book flights and Armenia tours.
