Yerevan Arts & Crafts Trip

Yerevan Arts & Crafts tour explores the pink city’s cultural and historical potential. This short excursion in Yerevan lets travelers immerse in the Folk Art museum, be in modern Gafeschyan Art Gallery, admire city view from birds fly and stroll through the narrow streets of Kond district – frozen in times like it was in the 17th century.

What about the itinerary?

We will start our trip by visiting an art centre called “The Museum of Folk Art in Armenia” – the hotspot Armenian folk artifacts and crafts. We will get a chance to see approximately 12,000 exhibits of the Armenian art collections, which are exhibited there. However, the folk art is not the limit and by taking a pleasant walk to the Cascade Complex we get a chance to explore the modern culture, as well. The complex is the most favorite spot of the locals and is famous for its surrounding cafes, restaurants and Cafesjian art museum located inside the complex.

Finally, our trip will lead us to the neighborhood “Kond” which shows Yerevan from a lot uncommon perspective. The neighborhood plays an important role in the history of Yerevan as the first inhabitants of the city were established right there. They founded their own corner, and continue to live their individual culture and nature until now. Our trip will come to an end by visiting one family in Kond, where we will bake and taste the Armenian well-known Sweet “Gata” with a cup of tea from local herbs. This is also a great source to get more information about history and lifestyle of the people living in Kond.
