Armenia Jeep Tour

‘Armenia Jeep tour’ is specially designed for those who are fond of adrenaline-activities. By escaping its participants from the noisy city, it gets them closer to the majestic nature of Armenia and explores ancient Armenian monuments hidden in the woods with an uncommon off-road ride through gorges, lush forests and endless valleys. 

What about the itinerary? 

Our day starts at 10:00 in the morning when our car gets us to Buzhakan village, which is just 40 minutes away from Yerevan. Finally, we will start the ride at the end of the village to the lush hilly forest up to famous Teghenyats Monastery. The gravel path to the monastery passes through a forest full of berries, and mushrooms. While endemic birds singings accompany us on our way by giving a indescribable vibe and fun. Monastery’s main values, such as  carvings with eternity symbols, peacock, and a very rare Armenian six-winged star are very well preserved and allow us to observe them thoroughly.

However, this is not the end with monasteries. We will continue our off-road ride to another unknown, ruined church, then take a way to Tghit mediaeval fortress. Interestingly, excavations are yet to start here. The fortress opens an excellent view over the surrounding mountains of Biblical Mount Ararat, Hatis, Ara and Aragats. Undoubtedly a picnic lunch and a coffee with Armenian sweets in a splendid forest waits for us and will announce the end of our day. After lunch, already in the evening we will go back to the hotel.
